hello there! first of all, i really like your logo designs! they're very clean and appealing :0

since i might try to delve into logo design/web design in general, i have a couple of questions i was just wondering about:
-how do you go by creating these logos? where do you get inspiration from?
-do you follow any certain design rules when making these logos?
-how do you go by creating business cards & are there also design rules that apply to them?
-how do you price logos & other design projects? (i don't really understand much about how design projects are priced, hahah)

Thank you!

Well, finding inspiration is not the problem. You can find it anywhere, from other logo designs, posters, t-shirts and illustrations. The problem usually is to apply that in the right way, to fulfil the exact needs of the client or even worse, to come up with something awesome just to find out it already exists.

In college, I learned logos should work in black and white, grey scale, colour and also to adapt to different sizes. Of those rules, only the last one still applies. While working on the logo I'm constantly changing the size to make sure it works in small sizes as well. The rest it all depends on the request of the client.

For business cards is pretty much the same than with logos. It depends on what the client needs. If the client wants a one side business card then you can't make something overly complex because you need to fit all essential information in a single side.

Pricing can be tricky. From my experience, I can say that it depends on your clients, what you are using to promote your work, your work style and the needs you have.

I love your use of negative space in the logos, and the simple but elegance of them.
